I feel that I have a very creative teaching style. I believe that every child learns differently! Once getting to know a student, I can come up with lesson plans that are specifically for them.
I am currently an Indiana University elementary education major! I love working with students and I have been working with all ages ever since I was 11 years old. I started babysitting at 11, and have been working with kids ever since. I was a nanny for three summers, and I have worked at Build-a-Bear workshop. I worked as a synthetic organic chemist at Eli Lilly pharmaceutical company for five years. I spent the next 20+ years as a stay-at-home mom and homeschooler, teaching my three children from kindergarten until they graduated from high school.(My two oldest are now college graduates and the third is presently in college.) During my years of homeschooling, I taught both chemistry and biology to high school students in our homeschool group. As an engineer, I love math, and I love tutoring math. Every student has a different way of learning, and I try to find the best way for every one, playing and learning, real problems applied, flash cards, drawings, etc. I truly believe every body can learn, understand and become to love math in the way that I do.
