Since 1985 I have been working in the computer environment. I worked with data processing high school students at the Johnstown Vo-Tech for over 17 years. For the past 11 years I have served as the lead instructor for all MSO training at the National Drug Intelligence Center. Statement of Teaching Philosophy for Teaching Writing I think that teaching writing should be both fun and educational. If you do not have the fun aspect in it you can lose students and not reach others. I believe it is important to be a positive model for my students. I want my students to know that what they write can be perfected and publishable. I want them to know that they never have to feel as if they are not good enough even if they do not know exactly how to get the words they want to say out. All it takes is practice. Even using a voice recorder to record your thoughts and getting feedback on those thoughts can make writing the best it can be. I, personally, have never taught a class. I graduated from IUP with a degree in Biology Education. I am certified in Biology and Middle School Science. I taught for one semester at Central Bucks School District where I taught Academic Biology, Astronomy and Oceanography.
