Experience Summary
I have been a genetic counselor for 13 years from an accredited college in Pennsylvania. First, I worked as a prenatal counselor but switched to newborn screening and metabolic genetics for the majority of my career. I earned certification as a genetic counselor in 2009. I have taught high school students the basics of genetics in a classroom as well as taught masters degree students.
Teaching Style
I believe students learn in different ways so I will make sure to provide different formats to allow the student to achieve learning success. There will be written work, visual presentations by myself as well as having the student present what they have learn to demonstrate comprehension. If there are any questions, please ask!
My Hobbies
I love to sew and quilt in my spare time. I have my own online shop as well as a contract with a local quilt shop making items for them to sell. I try to also participate in some local craft shows. I have two young children that keep me busy. I am very involved in Boy Scouts and in my children's elementary school library, PTO, and classroom activities.
Other Comments
