A Little Bit About Me...

At the University of Tampa I earned a BS in Biochemistry. While completing my degree I became knowledgeable in many areas of math and science. I also gained skills in grammar while writing research papers, lab reports, and essays in various classes. I worked in the academic center for excellence on campus for two years tutoring fellow students in chemistry, biology, genetics, and mathematics.
I love to help people, and I thrive in relationships with others that leave a meaningful impression on both the giver and the receiver. A student does not benefit from having their teacher do their work. I find that modeling a concept once or twice suffices. After that, a student is best served by having their teacher guide their mental processes so that they become accustomed to the mode of thinking that either results in the correct answer (in a quantitative subject) or a strong, well-reasoned argument (in a qualitative one). Such guidance must be based on the individual student's interests and aptitudes.
