I prefer to take a visual approach to learning!

I am a college freshman. I graduate high school with a 3.8 and never struggled with my work. I took many AP classes and exceed at them all. I have passed AP World History, US History, Government, Economics, and several other honor classes. I have done really well in all maths I have completed including Algebra 1 and 2, Pre-Cal, Geometry, and college algebra so math by far is my favorite subject. I am majoring in biology at Stephen F. Austin.
I am a hands on teacher. I learn easiest from visual learning and repetition and that how I plan to teach.

Easy going, lots of patience, but will push the student to be their best.
I have been running a specialized tutoring program for dyslexic and struggling readers for 4 years. One-on-one education is the best way I reach my students. I like diagnose them and take aptitude tests so I will know what type of learner as well as person I am working with. I take their weaknesses and I make them their strengths using such method as SQ3R, ANTICIPATORY SETS, FOUR-SQUARE-WRITING, CRITICAL THINKING,AND POSITIVE FEEDBACK. I have worked as a speech-language pathologist in two different Texas public school districts, as a home-school administrator, and as a core teacher in the private-school setting. I have taught middle-school language arts and mathematics. With my degree and experience in special needs and learning differences, I served as supervisor/teacher for a special needs program called the Link Lab at Poetry Community Christian School. The Link Lab also provided tutoring for students in the afternoons. I recently moved back to the Shreveport area where I grew up.
