i have never taught professionaly, but have assisted fellow students. the methods i useed to help them were ither to incorporate the subject matter into a sumject that they had a personal interest in, or manny time i found that they just didnot understand the language of the subject so i reexplained it in simpler terms and they got it just fine.
Even as a student i helped my fellow students to understand and grasp the subjects they were having difficulty with. i can generaly spinn the information into a subject matter that interests the individual or just explain it in an easier to understand manner, offted they just get lolst in the language of teaching. i minnored in math, and majorred in science and agriculture in high school, ansd took veternary technology in colledge this involved mostly biologies and lab technigues.

A Little Bit About Me...

It is my goal that the efforts of students produce more then just good grades. I assess their needs, the way they think, and what ends they may apply what they’re learning so that I may adapt my teaching style. In this way, I can help students engage in the material in such a way that the knowledge that they receive is important and applicable to their lives now or beyond high school. To this end, I have, in the past, used teaching methods designed for different types of intelligences, examples of relevant modern applications, historical examples and stories, and designed new methods for teaching students who do not respond to practiced methods.

I am a recent graduate of SUNY Potsdam. I received my bachelors degree in physics, and minored in mathematics. I also hold two associate degrees, one in Liberal Arts and another in Math & Science. I also spent time as a math & physics tutor at Corning Community College's math learning center. During my time there, I tutored students from algebra to calculus, and in elementary physics. These experiences have given me the ability to effectively tutor students in math, science or computers.
I am a patient tutor and find great joy in helping others succeed. Most of my experience has been in teaching older students and young adults.
