My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : I can problem solve and work with the student, many different ways, until we come up with a strategy that "clicks" with them.

I have tutored fellow classmates in HS. I've taught my nieces and nephew to understand and love mathematics, as well as respect science, which is really just the real-world application of mathematics. I can explain many abstract topics in tangible ways. I love when I see that twinkle in someone's eye when something clicks and they grab onto the topic they once didn't comprehend.

As a recent college graduate, I was driven to study engineering and music to create a balanced lifestyle. I have earned a bachelor of science with a major in engineering science and a minor in music. Some students are more aggressive and advanced but there are those who are silent and will not speak out about difficulties understanding competencies. I prefer not to embarrass those students but give them the opportunity to learn one-on-one.
