I currently possess a bachelor’s degree in biological science from Keystone College as well as my PA Instructional Certification for Secondary Education in Biology, which I obtained from Drexel University. I meet NCLB’s Highly Qualified Teacher requirements, which means I am highly qualified to teach biology to any student in grades 7-12. I completed my student teaching at Lackawanna Trail High School where I taught 7th grade life science and 10th grade biology. I love to help children and adults learn and understand course material. I believe teaching is a form of behavioral modification and also adhere to the rule, "if the student has not learned, than the teacher has not taught". Every child has a unique learning style and it becomes the teacher's responsibility to adapt to each child's learning needs. Basically my teaching style changes for each person I interact with. This often entails different approaches at times. I provide mainly a constructivist and sometimes "expert" (focus on facts) approach to learning. Currently, I am involved in marketing for a law firm, and am responsible for writing Excel programs for customer tracking, website SEO, and generally raising the profile of the business, and analysis. I have been responsible for training many people, and am particulary good at training young people for the SAT.
