Working towards my B.S. in environmental studies I had the opportunity to work as a high school tutor in mathematics and science. I worked with children in a traditional manner, tutoring them after school by working through homework problems and past test/quiz questions. After graduation I began educating children at a nature center in a less traditional way. Here I worked with larger groups, taking them to explore nature, creating activities that were fun but also educational.
Having worked with children for many years in versatile environments, I have learned that every child has a unique way of learning.
