I was an elementary education major for 2.5 years before following my specific passion to writing and literature in my Junior year to finish up school. I graduated with a 3.35 QPA from Slippery Rock University in May of 2015! I have completed reading instructional courses in K-6th elementary education as well as courses in literature and reading assessment. A Little Bit About Me...

My style of teaching is to allow the student to learn by doing. This is supplemented with encouragement, guidance, and occasionally talking through why a specific answer is correct. There have been many times that I wish I had become a teacher but using the old saying: work always got in my way. Teachers, next to parents, are the most important person in a growing child's life. I am well taught and experienced in Differentiated Instruction. All students learn through different levels and methods. Not all students respond to lecture and "do as I do." It is up to each teacher to find that special way each student learns. Some students are visual learnes and others are auditory learnes. Then you have the students who have to put their hands on everything and in everything to learn. Praise is also key to production. All things must be praised and ackowledge in the learning process.
