I usually tend to go over the student's prior classwork just to see if there was any problems understanding parts of the lesson. Then I would move on to completing the homework with the student. If we have time left over, I make practice problems similar to the homework problems or preview the upcoming classwork so the student has a head start on the material and knows what to expect.
