One has gone on to higher education and received a degree in Engineering. I wanted to teach Special Education primarily because my oldest son became schizophrenic in his late teen years. I was a substitute teacher in California while getting my undergraduate degree and my first masters degree. I got my Masters of Education in special education: emotionally disturbed students.
