I graduate from UNLV with a degree in Biology-Ecology. I took classes up to Calculus II, Biochemistry II, Organic Chemistry II, Microbiology and Physics II for example. I have been teaching Spanish at elementary schools for the past 6 years. Classes are an hour, before and after school. There are usually between 15-30 students in each class. My teaching style is more visual than verbal. Math and science are visual arts, meaning one must see and understand a formula before it is to be solved. In my experience, merely obtaining a solution to a problem is not learning, it is the journey from unsolved question to simplified answer is true knowledge.
