My teaching style is organized and interactive. I want to understand the student's goals and needs, while they need to understand my goals and commitment toward their success. I have been a middle and high school English teacher for over 7 years. Currently, I have been teaching Emergency Medicine to help Reynolds Army Community Hospital maintain 100% proficiency in job qualifications and standards. This includes slides and instructor led courses. I have taught in English in a School to a classroom size of about 30 students in Korea for about 6 months. This required me to make lesson plans and activities and a positive learning environment. At the same time I tutored students in English in a local orphanage. I taught and instructed fellow technicians about one year to increase yield productions in a manufacturing environment. My teaching style is very much one of observation and tailoring lessons to fit the student best. I typically use one series of method books, but sometimes choose other repertoire outside of the curriculum in order to best teach the student in the area that they need. I have had students with Asperger's syndrome (a form of autism) and dyslexia.I have also taught all age groups, ranging from 4 years to 65 years. Whether I am chosen as a teacher by the student for academic reasons, to prepare for a talent show, or fulfill an entry on their bucket list, I strive to show true interest in their learning and provide the best explanations and most creative lessons I can.
