I've been a teacher's unofficial little helper since I was in Elementary, helping the students of my class that the teacher simply didn't have the extra time to help. From then on, I helped and even eventually taught my younger siblings when the current school system left them in the dust, and even helped them get a leg up and advance faster than their classmates. My comments on tutoring Elementary Grammar : I have many years of experience working with young children learning English as a second language.

I taught kindergarten in public school for twenty years. I am currently teaching in a private school setting. I teach a voluntary preschool class (VPK). In this role I help prepare my students so that they have the skills needed to be successful in kindergarten. These skills are not just academic skills. These skills also include having an ability to function in a large group, get along with peers, and persevere in a task until completion.

Education is essential for the mind to grow.

On the whole, I look for a rather creative approach when it comes to learning and studying. I ask that students be skeptical in all they hear and read, so asking questions as a form of studying will be essential. Just reading a book or looking at flash cards for studying purposes can prove to be tedious and ineffective. And putting what's learned in context is always necessary if the subject calls for any everyday application.
I have helped people with their English-speaking skills off and on and am very skilled in spelling and grammar. I've been learning Japanese for going on three years, as well. I'm aware that it's not a particularly high in-demand language to learn, but I am more than willing to aid in learning it if it is desired. Also, having graduated high school, I have enough knowledge to teach kids about the basics of science, math, and English.
