I am a question-answer type of teacher. I like to demonstrate, have them do, answer questions, clear up ambiguities, and then test or at least check to insure learning and understanding. It is the job of the educator to insure that the mastery of the basics is accomplished before pushing the student further. This is true in academics as well as sports or any other field of endevor.
