My degree consists of two areas of emphases: English and the Humanities, with a minor in Dance. Through the course of my study, I have learned how to be a better writer, understand and appreciate literature, religions, and cultures of the world. For my last two years at BYU-Idaho, I worked at the university's Writing Center. There, I learned how to tutor one on one with students regarding reading, grammar, essays, résumés, cover letters, letters of introduction, summaries, etc. I attended a two hour biweekly seminar where we learned how to be better writers, improve our grammar, understand great writing, and increase our patience, love, and care for those patrons who we would help.
