I believe there is a major difference between teaching the student how to get a good grade and mastering the fundamental concepts that control math and science. When helping a student with Algebra, it is critical to asses their basic skills in mathematical operations. With chemistry, physics and biology it is often a matter of increasing the student’s vocabulary and understanding of the complex terminology and relationships presented by the teacher and the classroom book. I am a graduate of a Christian University, and I have recently completed my certification training for me to be an elementary or Middle school teacher this fall. I have tutored elementary students prior in reading, phonics, and math. I have been a youth and children's pastor for five years, while also substitute teaching.
