My comments on tutoring Basic Learning Skills : I am NYS certified in Literacy (grades 5-12) and English (grades 7-12), although I have several years of experience with children as young as Kindergarten.

As an educator, I view myself not as a provider of knowledge, but rather as a facilitator. As a "late in life" graduate of Fordham University, I received permanent Teaching Certification and continued to teach in a public school district for 5 years. Since I was younger, I have always been interested in teaching children. I have babysat for neighbors, tutored children at the elementary level, and I worked at two daycare centers as a Pre-K head teacher.
