I have always enjoyed tutoring students and seeing them "get" the subjects we are touching on. The look on their face during this moment is priceless. I fully understand that everyone learns things in different ways. While one student may be able to memorize and understand facts one way, say by repetition, another student may learn the information by understanding the background and context that it comes from. I love being with and teaching children, especially when it comes to reading and books. I find it highly gratifying to see the joy that comes with learning to love to read and the subsequent doors of learning that open as a result. Though kids have different learning styles, I believe that books and the ability to read are a universal passion that transcends all backgrounds and abilities. During my 30 years as a consultant I taught several classes related to game theory and applied Calculus.
