Experience Summary
I am an educator by training, experience, and passionate interest. My Ph.D. in Instructional Technology has enabled me to assist all students with their learning challenges by devising specific and customized strategies that help each individual master content. I have been in adult learning positions in both corporate and higher education environments and would like to teach people of all ages how to learn what they need to know.
I have worked with groups, online education, individuals, and all types of media. My current position is Director of Curriculum Development at Chancellor University whose niche is first generation, inner city adults. We specialize in Business, Professional Studies, and Liberal Arts courses.
Teaching Style
My approach is to assess the needs of the individual. What are the learning goals? To pass a class, excel at certain content, or improve grades? This is important to understand so that we are both moving toward an identical objective and can travel together to that end. I am able to design a learning strategy for all content but particularly am knowledgeable in all social sciences and comprehension areas.
