A Little Bit About Me...

I come from a family of teachers, including my parents who are college professors and instilled in me from an early age the value of education. I went on to study languages and history, obtaining a B.S. in Spanish and a Master's in Teaching with a double concentration in Spanish and ESL (English as a Second Language). I taught ESL for 8 years at the middle school level, 1 year of high school Spanish, and also ran an adult ESL program here in Minneapolis for a year and a half. In addition, I have taught and/or turored English overseas in Spain and Ecuador. I have also assisted many students over the years with homework, projects, presentations, etc. in a variety of settings (study hall, "homework help", summer camp, summer school, tutoring sessions). I have been told I am a patient and imaginative teacher. I have been a camp counselor at a nature camp for six summers and have tutored and taught for an additional 5 years.
