This required teaching the math behind the scoring requirements first. As how the student answers were obtained was as important as the correct answers, it was necessary to also train the scorers how to evaluate the students' work.
Although I have usually worked in small groups of 8 to 24 people, the training was usually one-on-one in order to deal with individual difficulties in understanding the material. Each person had his or her own specific needs that had to be fulfilled to successfully understand the material.
