I am highly efficient at helping students with homework, understanding lessons, and prepping for examinations. When working with young children (grades k-6), I try and make learning as fun and relaxing as possible. Young children also need a lot of attention to ensure they remain focused on the task at hand. I feel that my style of teaching is student centered. I am a facilitator to the learning process. Any student who chooses to learn can and will, however some students need more motivation than others. Thus, I take the time to hear about and understand what my students know and more importantly do not know and want or need to know. I attended Northern Arizona University, whereupon I fell in love with sociology. I have a firm grasp of basic and advanced sociological concepts, specializing in historical analysis and research methods. After school, I spent my time working temporary jobs, and found one that I thoroughly enjoyed. At Wyko I aquired a set of technical skills that allowed me to work on some of the most advanced instruments of the day. So far as my teaching is concerned, I have been teaching for a number of years as a full-time instructor for elementary students. My Experience: In 1964, I graduated from Columbia College, in Geology. Subsequently, I worked in oil well drilling in Israel, and on a dam project in New Jersey. After earning an MA in Art Education, at Brooklyn College in 1975, I helped found the Waltham Mass. Artists Association, where I created beautiful enamels, and mentored several child students. One of my favorite projects, with friends, was facilitating the creation, exchange, and display of peace and environmental posters, by kids (and adult artists) in the USA and around the world. I also worked for over 20 years as a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher/Naturalist for the Mass. Audubon Society.
