I like children to get up and move and learn. All students learn differently and it is up to me to learn what it is and then use that to help them learn.
All through college I Tutored children at-risk and/or having a disability. I determined individual needs and apply a variety of methods to help children learn. As a first grade teaching after school I tutor first grader with reading and math. I like children to learn in a fun way. Students need to get up and learn. Worksheets are not something that I like to do when tutoring. Children sit in a desk all day. They do not want to then go and tutor and sit some more. I like to get the kids up and learning.

Leading innovation for education.

Before moving to Tucson, I found myself helping other students, sometimes elementary and sometimes high school or junior high. It became clear to them that most of my peers didn't understanding the lectures or in class notes that were provided. In fact, most of the examples never matched the tests that were given. I broke down the lessons into sub-divisions that students of all ages could understand.
Education is a viable tool for the kids in this generation. Technology also plays a role in the learning environment. In my experience, I find often times that it isn't enough for a child to read material and have a clear understanding. Visual concepts as well as real life examples makes all the difference between learning the subject and failing to understand the general concepts behind the subject itself.

Teaching Style: When the school busses arrived in the morning at Drumlin Farm, I would always welcome the visiting pupils with great enthusiasm. I would determine what the boys and girls already knew, or thought they knew, and what they would like to learn. Then we would go off to have a joyous and educational time learning about, and milking the cows, collecting and scrambling eggs, or planting pumpkin seeds in the warm May soil.
