17 + Veteran Teacher

I have been teaching science at the secondary level for over 17 years. I have taught chemistry and advanced chemistry, Earth science which includes "GOMA" Geology, Oceanography, Meteorology and Astronomy. I have also taught physics for years and tutor for high school biology exams. While in Virginia 95% of my students passed the Virginia test for Chemistry.
I like to teach hands on as much as I can, but my goal is to teach in a way that helps the learner understand.

I enjoy helping children learn and realize that not all children learn the same way. I try to adapt to their learning style to make it easier for them to learn. I am patient and easy-going and enjoy the thrill when a child learns something new. It is truly the greatest feeling in the world.
As a Western Michigan University graduate, I have a strong feeling that education is the foundation that we build upon.
