A Little Bit About Me...

through my teaching career I have had numerous workshops and professional Development in all areas in education. I have been able to combine different teaching strategies to fit the needs of my students. In Arizona I taught Fourth Grade where 80% of my studens were English Language Learners of Hispanic decent. This was a real leaning experience. I took the Dibels training which really helped my teaching techniques. Using Orton-Guillingham guidelines with the hundreds of hours of teacher training allowed my students to excel. I believe my varied experiences and a love for my profession enables me to be a Master Teacher.

Al though I have never technically tutored or taught a child writing, I am interested in helping aid a child's learning experience. One of the reasons that I'm interested in tutoring is that, although I love working with individual students and small groups, I am less interested in classroom management, discipline and the rest of the duties that come along with substitute teaching. I am excellent at relating to students and absolutely can help those who are willing to learn. I also appreciate that different students learn in different ways and strongly believe that alternative methods should be explored and encouraged if it gets a student learning.
