A Little Bit About Me...

I was formerly a high school English Teacher and an ESL teacher. I taught one year overseas teaching English as a second language. For two years, I was an education supervisor at the Hawaii Job Corps, and it was my job to ensure that the students' academic needs were being met. I excelled at that job, but had to leave as I moved back to the mainland. I worked as both a tutor and a teacher for many years (10) and loved my career. However, for the past 13 years, I have been working as a Financial Advisor. I am conscientious, hard-working, responsible, and I am very comfortable meeting people. None of my family had gone to college, so it was predicted I would not either. I had a hunger to learn, so I systematically worked full-time and studied part-time, earning eight major degrees in cities where they alowed residency rquirements to be met in such a way. I was young and energetic, so it was a lot of work, but a joy. It took about 15 years to finally earn my doctorate. Along the way, I earned certification in a half dozen fields (especially loved English, social stuides, and psychology). I was employed for decades in education, teaching full-time for five years, often teaching on the side when I was counselor or administrator.
