Poetry is one of my top subjects!

Statement of Teaching Philosophy for Teaching Writing I think that teaching writing should be both fun and educational. If you do not have the fun aspect in it you can lose students and not reach others. I believe it is important to be a positive model for my students. I want my students to know that what they write can be perfected and publishable. I want them to know that they never have to feel as if they are not good enough even if they do not know exactly how to get the words they want to say out. All it takes is practice. Even using a voice recorder to record your thoughts and getting feedback on those thoughts can make writing the best it can be. I, personally, have never taught a class. French Tutor From Johnstown Pennsylvania

I began studying french in the 9th grade, became President of my high school's French Club my senior year, and then attended the University of PIttsburgh at Johnstown Majoring in Creative Writing while working on my French certification. I have 40 credits and a 3.0 but am no longer able to afford classes there.
I like to cover the basics right off the bat, even if they may be familiar with them and then focus on whichever areas are most troubling for the student.

I have experience teaching many types of students. I worked one-on-one, daily, with an autistic student during my last position, so I understand that not every student learns in the same way. I think it works well to give shorter lessons to a small group, and then work individually with the students. I like to encourage them to help one another if they feel confident in the subject. I pay great attention to verifying that each student is following the lesson. My main teaching style is "I do, you do," meaning I show them how to do a problem, or spell a word, and then they show me how. I like to work with the parent and child on any goals they have for the year, while updating the parent and child on progress, problems, and behavior.
