I enjoy helping junior high and high school students excel in all their subjects. Particularly, I feel it's important to relate their current studies to real life situations to help them understand the link between the theoretical material and practical solutions. My teaching style would be to find the student's primary learning style and converting the information he or she needs into a format that fits that learning style. Each subject would be made as visible or concrete as possible, so that the student could interact with the material on more than just a visual/conceptual level. Showing the student how the material can relate to real-life situations and opportunities would be a vital part of the instruction. After high school, I recognized in myself a desire to work with elementary- and high school-aged children. I have always been at the top of my classes and was heading for an engineering school before I discovered a love for helping kids.
