As a psychology major I have realized that my true passion lies in the education of children, I have worked with children in the past at daycare centers and day camps, and I have always taken the extra step in helping children who seem to struggle. I truly believe that all children have the ability to learn at the same pace and level, certain children just need a little bit more attention in some areas than others. I believe that all children have different styles or method of learning. I will often give students a choice designing and implementing their own complex learning projects and will act in a consultative role. In many cases, I will also teach a the students with diagrams or other images associated to the particular lecture. I enjoy young students company and I do not get frustrated or irate easily. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Ohio State University in 1970. I began my career substitute teaching in all elementary grade levels and, then, acquired a permanent first grade teaching position. During this time period I attended Queens College at night and earned my Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 1973. During the subsequent years that followed, I worked with my husband as the bookkeeper and administrator of our business, utilizing my math and organizational skills, while raising two sons.
