Because I enjoy the learning environment and have been in one for 16 years, I have learned much about it. I have a variety of experience. Most of my tutoring experience is with older students, aged 15 or older. However, I feel that I could work with younger kids as well. I love learning, and I get excited when a student fully grasps the material. I try and reinforce a teachers method of teaching. However, if repetition is not the issue, than I try and explain topics in different ways with lots of examples.I believe a tutor can really be a great supplement to the classroom teacher.

A Little Bit About Me...

I moved to North Carolina shortly after graduating in August 2007. I was a teacher Assistant in a Kindergarten classroom. I helped the teacher create lesson plans, I helped children is small groups and one on one. I also served as a team teacher since I had my teaching degree. I also taught whenever needed. This past year I began the school year off in Ohio working as a substitute for 3 different school districts. I worked in several different grade levels including special ed. Then in December, I landed a job with Head Start teaching preschool to 3-5 year olds.
I love teaching and being around children. I love watching them grow and learn new things. I love the excitement and joy they have when they learn something new.
