Physics is one of my top subjects! Have a bachelors and masters degree in physics. Been a teaching assistant for astronomy and physics classes for 6+ years. Experienced in helping students learn concepts, labs, tutoring, and teaching.

Began as a Teaching Assistant (TA) in the Michigan Technological Universities (MTU) physics department as a physics lab TA for 3 years. Then I helped develop an Astronomy Lab and was the lab TA for a year. I then was a TA for a large lecture physics class for engineering students where I helped students on a 1-1 basis and helped the professor manage the class. In my final years as a Masters student at MTU, I helped run the online astronomy class and was the TA, grader, and developer of the assignments. Since moving to the University of Utah, I have been a TA for another large lecture class where I ran smaller sections for students to come and ask questions and get homework help. A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout my graduate program at Western Michigan University, I taught at least one Business Statistics class per semester, was a volunteer statistics tutor for all undergraduate statistics courses, and consulted PhD students of other disciplines who needed help understanding or communicating statistics in their field. Furthermore, I worked as a part-time instructor for a semester at Kalamazoo Valley Community College teaching Mathematical Statistics. I have earned a BS and MS both in statistics, which have equipped me with an understanding in many areas of math, research, statistics, and science. I worked as a substitute teacher for a charter high school in St. Louis, MO directly out of undergrad. I taught most subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, History and Language Arts. I feel comfortable in my ability to teach most subjects and have no issue working in difficult classrooms as I have grown accustomed to such environments working in St. Louis.
Being no stranger to difficult classroom settings, I understand that ideal teaching conditions rarely exist.
