Since high school, I have volunteered at a local preschool. This past summer, I spent time in Honduras teaching English at an orphanage. Groups are beneficial because there are a variety of opinions, abilities, and skill levels, thus teaching students the importance of unity in the workplace and classroom. Buddies are important because they give students someone other than the teacher to go to with questions that may seem "silly" and give them someone with whom to share concerns.
