I believe anyone can teach a subject, having enough knowledge of a subject allows one to pass it on. However, I feel what many teachers do not do is teach students how to learn. It is in my belief that teaching students to learn enables them to think independently allowing them to become more creative rather than repetitive. So not only do I teach students the subject, I teach them how to learn and apply it to every other subject.

During my year as a senior accountant at a public accounting firm, I found that I really enjoyed mentoring the staff accountants I had working for me. I found that the easiest way of learning something new was by actually going ahead and trying it first. However, the theory behind the problems matters just as much as the end result. If you understand the theory, then you can complete any problem.
I graduated from the Honors program at Chico State and have always taken education very seriously.
