A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved teaching, whether its adults or children. Everyone has their own learning style and teachers need to be able to adapt teaching methods to help all succeed. My personality is very driven, outgoing, yet very patient and understanding. My goal when presenting curriculum based school programs is that the students all leave with at least one idea that they will remember and share with others.
Prior to changing my undergraduate major to Geography, I was an elementary education major. I have always enjoyed working with students; however, at the time I wanted to try something different and is how I ended up working as a Park Ranger for the National Park Service (NPS). In the past 2 years, I have been a Masters in Counseling student, attaining a 4.0 GPA. I work with troubled students from 15-25 hours per week, and I have excellent grammatical and spelling skills. I am a publshed author, and I have an excellent grip of many general areas of education. My specific strengths are research and writing, as well as scholarly counseling psychology, and the law. A Little Bit About Me...

I currently work with special education students at a local school. I also work at an after school program to ensure educational activites during the after school hours. I Earned a double major from BHSU in 2008 for Sociology and Human Services with an empahsis in probation and Law enforcement.
I enjoy working with kids of all a ages and skill levels! My passion is working with kids who are special education, or those who need more one on one time. Math was always a struggle for me so I enjoy working with kids who need extra support with math/algebra. I believe each child learns in their own way and it's extremely important to find their learning style and build from it. Each child has the ability to learn we just have to see things through their eyes in order to educate them!
