I worked for 3 years painting custom design and replications of needlepoint templates for a boutique on Newbury Street in Boston. I also have been building my portfolio of nature prints and paintings to show and sell. I am comfortable teaching all mediums including mixed media. During the school year, I work as a curriculum coordinator and art teacher for an after school program in Lexington, Ma. This is my 6th year of teaching stimulating and unique art projects to children in grades K-5. I have interned as a graphic designer and also had jobs as a wedding photographer. During the summer, I work as an assistant director to a summer enrichment program in Winchester, Ma. I like to get to the point of certain problems, such as reading the child/student when I see them, ask them some questions about the subjects they need help in and why they need help. I have worked with Infants-School age for over 5 years, and enjoy being there to help someone in need. I believe in giving back, because so many of us are blessed already. As an early childhood teacher, I have had several opportunities to help children (school age), to do homework. I also was a tutor in high school to a boy for just Algebra, which then turned around to being all of his subjects and helping him keep on track. The hardest thing for me was that he had only lived in the U.S. for four years, and had trouble speaking English. After each session of tutoring, I would grab the Scrabble board, which encouraged him to use more words, learn new words, and have fun while doing so.
