For the past year I have worked as a Software Trainer for the Finance department functions such as Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. I have aways been driven to master new educational challenges and enjoy coaching and training others. I have tutored Basic and Advanced Accounting at the college level a semester when in Memphis, TN. My teaching style is whatever best fits the student. When working one on one with a student I practice a few different methods of teaching and whichever one they feel the most comfortable with and I receive the most attentiveness from, is the one that I continue to use. For example, some students prefer that you walk them through a lesson, go over a few practice problems and then let them work on assignments, knowing that they have you to assist them when needed. Others might want to jump into the assignment and when a question arises, they ask you to refer to the lesson to help them find the solution.

I love to teach children and find it both a challenge as well as an inspiration. When teaching I find it necessary to determine the learning styles of each student as well as areas of interest. Once these have been determined it is much easier to determine the areas of academic needs and teach according to how they best learn. Learning should not be seen as a chore but rather as an opportunity to succeed in life. Whenever possible I include technology into the curriculum to enhance teaching. If teaching a large class it may be necessary to break into small groups to focus on the needs of certain students while providing enrichment activities for others.
