I have earned a Bachelors degree double major in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of the West Indies Jamaica. As the son of two life-long public educators, the importance of a quality education has always a major theme in my life. Upon entering college I choose mathematics as a major due to the proficiency I have always had in the subject. During my studies I realized that I had an innate ability to not only grasp and understand difficult mathematical concepts, but also to explain them to others. I think that in today's public education system, with ever-growing class sizes some students get thrown to the wayside. These students need a more personalized learning plan that offers them head-to-head or small group discussions. I can relate to the child who remains silent because he doesn't think his question is smart enough. Subsequently, that child starts getting left behind little by little until they feel completely lost and abandoned and become disillusioned with the whole education system. I maintain a high level of patience in dealing with other people. During my studies as an undergraduate and in veterinar school, I have gained extensive knowledge in many subjects. Combined, I have nearly 300 semester hours of biological science course work completed. I am familiar with laboratory procedures and the different styles of writing required for various reports.
