A Little Bit About Me...

I believe all children can learn but they each need to learn in a way that fits them. I feel that I can provide each child with the necessary curriculum knowledge in a fun and engaging way. I believe that through discovery leaning each subject is made unique and interesting and children are more likely to walk away feeling engaged, proud of their work, and excited. I believe that each and every child can excel if they have a good educator behind them. I strive to make sure that each one of my students succeeds inside and outside of the classroom.
I have recently graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Elementary Education. I have had many years caring for children and have three years experience tutoring/teaching children. Although I have graduated, I still see myself as a student still learning. I take that with me when I teach fellow students. I try to make it an experience where we are all learning something together. This prevents me from just telling someone what to learn, instead it shows someone how to learn. During my years in high school I struggled. At one point my GPA fell below a 2.0. I learned how to bounce back by improving study habits and hard work and ended up graduating college with biology degree with a 4.0 GPA. I share this because I can relate to the struggles of school and I have the tools to help overcome that struggle. I want to share these tools with others.
