ELL, Reading and Writing, Standardized tests ALL ages

I have recently acquired a Master of Education degree in Education-a lifelong dream. I have taught in both private and public schools in grades PreK-6. I have tutored many students along the way-including summer school for struggling readers and writers. My most recent assignment was a permanent substitute position in the first grade. Being an undergraduate at WPI and haven taken several Advanced Placement classes in areas outside of math and science, I consider myself a very well rounded student. I was also strongly considered for a MASH program here at the University, or "Math and Science Help", as a Section Leader/Tutor. Going through a lower-middle class urban high school, I was known as that "smart kid" and would often led study groups outside of class to prepare for tests.
I have struggled with the areas I am not proficient in, so I understand what it is to be frustrated and confused. My teaching style is presenting various approaches to the same idea, in hopes that at least one will click, and better yet, each approach with solidify an idea or concept that much more.
