Over the course of my career, I have taught a wide variety of courses: principles of my field (Earth, Life, and Microbiology science), and laboratory analysis. I have earned a BS in Biology/Microbiology and a certificate in Industrial Biotechnology I am quite comfortable with classes of different sizes, at different levels, and with various teaching styles. Early in my career, I received a position as a professor in microbiology, data-based approach to teaching introductory courses to students.

I would say that my teaching style is very interactive. Anyone can give instructions but I love feedback from a one on one situation as well as a group environment. I base alot of my instruction on analogies; when a person can relate an experience or another word to a term being tought, their understanding is broadened and 99% of the time embedded in the longterm memory. That to me is not only developing the ability to draw on a built up knowledge base, but also broadens ones ability to convey what has been learned.
I have always wanted to teach. When I was a child I would round up the kids in my neighborhood and make them do lessons that I created. I do remember they did not like that.
