I have worked at Pike High School for several years as a substitute teacher. I spend a lot of time helping out in a study hall, so I have experience helping students in a wide variety of subjects as well as simply improving study and work habits. I always use concrete examples that students can relate to when explaining a concept. For example, when discussing paternalism with college students I will often cite government regulation of tobacco and alcohol use to illustrate how the concept translates into laws that directly affect them.
