Saxophone is one of my top subjects! I am a current Jazz Saxophone Performance major at Temple University. I have teaching and performance experience across many genres and in several different settings.

My name is Andrew, and I am a Saxophone player in the Philly area. I spent the last 2 years as a Jazz Saxophone Performance major at Rutgers University, and in the fall I began studying at Temple University. At Rutgers, I have had the privilege to study jazz/classical performance and theory with Ralph Bowen, Stanley Cowell, Mike Richmond, Joe Magnarelli, and many others. At Temple, I study privately with Dick Oatts. I have had experience performing in my own jazz groups, as well as in a rock/commercial setting across PA, NJ, and NYC, and have had private teaching experience in the Philadelphia area.

A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout my teaching experiences I have had the opportunity to work with numerous students with a variety of learning styles. My undergraduate experiences in Inclusive Education have influenced my beliefs in differentiating instruction, as I feel that my responsibility as a teacher is to adapt and modify instruction to best fit the needs of all my students. In addition, I worked at a local elementary after-school program 2 days a week. I am currently pursuing my teaching certification through Drexel University.
While I enjoy business, working with children is my passion, hence why I am pursuing my teaching certification. I believe the best way to teach students any skill is to let them have hands on experience with it.
