A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved being around kids. I care about there well being and knowing that im someone they can look up to. I have loads of patience with them which was much needed with some of the children I had to take care of. When I was growing up I had a younger brother who had problems in school due to his disabilities, so after seeing him struggle so much, it gave me the urge to help others who dont understand things quite as easliy. I want them to have confidence in themselves and to never give up on any trial that may come their way.
I attented Twin Falls Christian Academy throughout my highschool career. During the second semester of my junior year i recieved a credit for helping teach in the daycare facility. I love teaching and working with all children of all ages. I believe that each child should be taught in the best possible way and encouraged to know that it is possible to achieve their educational goals that they can learn to set for themselves, and that they can do all things through their God given abilities, and with the potential that was instilled in them by God. I seriously like to help children of all ages to learn to read and write, because it is very important for their future, and towards their success in life.
I will be honest, I did not graduate High School, but have had the privilege of homeschooling my son since Kindergarten. Teaching is my passion. I started to realize this while helping classmates as early as middle school and have carried that drive with me through college and my teaching experiences so far. I have a variety of skills through work experience and like to use a wide range of methods to teach. These methods help me address different learning styles. I have a knack for helping students find better ways to study and learn. Outstanding teachers are the ones who try to come up with creative ideas to interest those who are excelling as well as come up with creative ideas to scaffold and support those who are behind to hold their interest.
