I've helped in my mother's elementary and middle school classrooms since age ten. In high school and college, I loved coordinating study groups and helping (and learning from) my peers. I began teaching/tutoring while in graduate school. I tutored undergrads in sociology, psychology, and social statistics. I also taught driver's education to high school students while in grad school. After ten years working in law enforcement, I switched to social services and I have been mentoring children in foster care for the past twenty years.
