As a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo I was interested in English education, especially in terms of helping students improving their reading and writing skills. I followed this interest by tutoring at the university writing lab, as well as doing frequent one-on-one tutor sessions with students in need. At the end of each quarter I conducted private, one-on-one counseling sessions with the goal of helping students pass Cal Poly's Graduation Writing Requirement. I'm passionate about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. With my degree in geology and experiences in technology and computer arenas, I'm capable of guiding inquiry on such subjects.
