A Little Bit About Me...

As a Business Education teacher in the classroom, I also have experience with home based instruction for special education and working with at-risk middle school students in an after school program. I have taught four years in middle school; this school term (2010-2011), I will be teaching part time high school computer education in the mornings from 7:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and will be available afternoons. Although Business Education is my certification, I have experience teaching Mathematics, ELA, Science, Reading, and Art in the home and after school. I enjoy working one-on-one with students and believe all students should have every opportunity to learn in the most comfortable environment.

A Little Bit About Me...

I really enjoy working one on one. When a student masters a skill, it is very rewarding. Every student learns differently and they have a tendency toward either kinetic, hearing or sight. If one method of learning does not work, then I have tried another until something clicks with the student. One needs to find out what pushes their buttons and gets them excited. Especially if they are sruggling and their parents are upset, the whole school experience is not fun. Learning should be fun!!
