A Little Bit About Me...

My tutoring began while I was studying at Montana State University. My Junior year I enrolled in a class that was based around community service and my role was tutoring middle school aged children. The tutoring was in a small group setting and was on any subject the children needed help in but mainly in reading comprehension. After college, I attended Via Lingua where I became certified to teach ESL. It was here that my tutor experience expanded. For 4 months, I not only taught night classes but tutored on a one-one basis with students who needed further assistance. After moving back to the U.S., I got a job at American Cultural Exchange at Montana State University. When I started here my first job was tutoring 3 students from Japan. A Little Bit About Me...

I taught middle school and high school Language and Literature for two years at a private school. During that time I also tutored in the subjects of history, math, and science. I am currently working on my Masters degree in Education and have had refresher courses in the areas of study outside of my initial degree. I love working with students and have taken courses specifically in test prep.
I am an active teacher. I want students to understand the subject in the context of their own lives as opposed to just learning definitions.
