My teaching style varies upon subject and student. I graduated from Jefferson High School in the spring of 2012. I now attend Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne. I have two younger siblings and 4 younger step-siblings that I have helped with their homework, or helped them better understand material assigned to them. Their ages range from 8-17. I know how to explain certain subjects in multiple ways to ensure that eventually the student will understand the material. I am very patient, and I understand that some people learn at slower rates than others. I am majoring in nursing, though I considered teaching English before making this decision. I first try to determine what level of knowledge my "students" had. Then, building on that, I would add layers until the group I was with understood the material. I would check with them frequently to make sure they understood what we just covered and I allowed questions at any time. If necessary, I would back up and try a different approach. My goal was to make sure they understood the material, whatever it took. While I have no "official" teaching experience, I was frequently required to teach other members of the various teams I was on as well as people from other groups.
